YES! for Schools is a life-skills workshop that is designed to equip middle and high school students (ages 12 to 18) with the tools to manage stress and navigate social–emotional challenges.
YES! for Schools is a 30-hour workshop composed of the following three modules: 1) Healthy Body, 2) Healthy Mind, and 3) Healthy Lifestyle. The Healthy Body module consists of physical activity such as yoga stretches and discussions on mindful eating and nutrition. The Healthy Mind module focuses on stress management and relaxation. This module includes breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques to foster relaxation and awareness and enhance concentration. This module also uses group processes to help promote personal responsibility, honesty, and respect for others. The Healthy Lifestyle module provides students with strategies for handling difficult emotional and social situations, especially peer pressure. This module teaches students about mindful decision making and leadership skills through the use of interactive games.
